Who's in my back yard? Squirrels

. Tuesday, March 30, 2010

I adore the squirrels that come to my feeders. I know some people try to keep them away and I do see why. They completely ate through the ropes and destroyed the hammock my husband and daughter got me for Mother's day. However, I have to admit I enjoyed watching them turn my hammock into nesting material just as much as I enjoyed laying in the hammock. I think the squirrels that visit me are grey squirrels.

I brought in some wisteria that is blooming outside, it smells so pretty!

Squirrels......humpfh

I actually find the little rascals rather cute to watch, but oh my are they destructive. We have some in the outside wall of our sunroom that now that the weather is nicer will have to be removed. They seem to think wiring is a delicacy.

The wisteria is beautiful!

Hugs,

Sue

We enjoy the squirrels here in our woods also and my husband buys dried corn on the cob and puts it on a nail on a little perch for them. It's so funny to watch them nibble it! They can be destructive but we love them! Our wisteria doesn't bloom here until later--it's beautiful!
